John Schlesinger directs this Oscar-winning screen adaptation of Nathaniel West's novel about the underside of 1930s Hollywood. The film stars Donald Sutherland as Homer Simpson, a wealthy and ambitious accountant with no illusions about showiz, and Karen Black as Faye Greener, a talentless would-be film actress.
Based around their parallel stories is a portrait of an artificial society obsessed with glamour and the film fantasy of Hollywood's golden age, but awash with back-stabbing, self-delusions and broken dreams.
This Blu-ray is Region B (UK, Australia, New Zealand).
