“We’re going to fly thirty-five thousand men three hundred miles and drop them behind enemy lines. It’ll be the largest airborne operation ever mounted.”

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of infamous World War II mission ‘Operation Market Garden’ (September 1944), we are proud to announce the newly scanned and restored 4K UHD release of Richard Attenborough’s 1977 epic, A BRIDGE TOO FAR

Shot on location in the Netherlands, this BAFTA-winning film is one of the great WWII epics, based on the book by Cornelius Ryan, and assembled an enormous league of screen legends: Dirk Bogarde, James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Elliott Gould, Edward Fox, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier, Ryan O’Neal, Robert Redford, and Liv Ullmann.

This brand NEW 4K restoration comes loaded with brand NEW and archival Special Features, and is housed in a strictly Limited Edition 3-Disc Hardbox with an exclusive booklet.

Booklet

An exclusive booklet featuring an essay by Simon Lewis, first published in Cinema Retro, as well as an excerpt from Sebastian Abineri’s book ‘The Boys from the Bridge: The Story of Attenborough’s Private Army’.
