Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Linda Fiorentino star in this fantasy comedy written and directed by Kevin Smith. When fallen angels Loki and Bartleby (Damon and Affleck), long ago banished from Heaven to Wisconsin, discover a loophole in Catholic dogma that will allow them to return to Heaven, chaos ensues. If they succeed in their endeavour, all of creation will be undone and so the angel Metatron (Alan Rickman) appears on Earth to convince Bethany Sloane (Fiorentino) that she is the one destined to save the universe.

Together with prophets Jay (Jason Mewes) and Silent Bob (Smith), the forgotten 13th disciple Rufus (Chris Rock) and heavenly muse Serendipity (Salma Hayek), Bethany travels to New Jersey to stop Loki and Bartleby, but will she succeed before it's too late?
