The 2024 Emmy Awards, held on September 15, highlighted the best in television from late 2023 to mid-2024. The ceremony, co-hosted by Eugene and Dan Levy, saw several standout series and performances celebrated.

In the drama categories, Shōgun reigned supreme, winning Outstanding Drama Series. Lead actor Hiroyuki Sanada and lead actress Anna Sawai took home acting honors for their roles in the show, contributing to its impressive 25 nominations.

Comedy was a major battleground, with The Bear stealing the spotlight. Jeremy Allen White earned the award for Outstanding Lead Actor, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach won for Supporting Actor. Liza Colón-Zayas rounded out the show's success, winning Outstanding Supporting Actress. Meanwhile, Hacks triumphed in the Outstanding Comedy Series category, with Jean Smart recognised as Best Lead Actress.

In the limited series categories, Baby Reindeer was the big winner, securing awards for Outstanding Limited Series, along with acting wins for Richard Gadd (Lead Actor) and Jessica Gunning (Supporting Actress). Jodie Foster was honored for her performance in True Detective: Night Country, while Lamorne Morris won Best Supporting Actor in Fargo.
