Harvey Keitel stars in this crime drama directed by Abel Ferrara. An unnamed, corrupt and increasingly unhinged New York police detective (Keitel) preys on both the criminals and the innocents with whom he comes into contact each day to feed his drug addiction and ease his gambling debts. However, when a young nun refuses to reveal the identity of the men who raped her and claims she has forgiven them, he wonders if he is truly beyond redemption.
