Japanese horror written and directed by Kiyoshi Kurosawa. When a series of murders are committed in Tokyo, a distinguishing mark connects them all: a bloody 'X' carved into the neck of each victim. In each case the murderer is found near the scene of the crime with no memory of committing it.

The perpetrators are revealed to be ordinary citizens who all interacted with the same mysterious man shortly before inexplicably killing someone. Detective Kenichi Takabe (Kôji Yakusho) must now place his own sanity on the line as he attempts to put an end to the violence sweeping the city.
