David Fincher directs this dark comedy drama adapted from Chuck Palahniuk's novel which explores themes of masculinity and violence in contemporary society. Jack (Edward Norton), a bored insomniac office worker, is craving excitement and change.

When he meets charismatic soap salesman Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt), a man who believes that the only way to escape the banality of modern existence is through violence, they start an underground fight club together where men can engage in brutal bare-knuckle fights.

However, friction develops between them as the fight club evolves and they become rivals for the attentions of Marla Singer (Helena Bonham-Carter)
