Due to a hereditary curse, 13-year-old Meilin (voice of Rosalie Chiang) starts turning into a giant red panda whenever she experiences strong emotions. Her difficult relationship with her overprotective mother Ming (Sandra Oh) causes her to transform in public and she is told that the red panda spirit must be sealed in a talisman.

Meilin's friends like her transformation and her father Jin (Orion Lee) encourages her to accept this part of herself. Can she mend her relationship with her mother and find her own path?
